The Kitchen...BEFORE

Le Pink Piece de la Resistance....

When we moved into our house two and a half years ago, there were some parts of the house where one did not want to venture...and that was after we had washed the walls and floors with every sort of cleaning solution possible. One of these areas was the kitchen.

Alth0ugh these photos weren't taken on the date we moved in, I think you can easily see the pink formica countertops, the wood shutters over the sink and the laminate flooring (that was coming up in most areas). All in all, the kitchen was a scary mess.

What I did love in the kitchen was the pink stovetop and cabinet ovens. Understanding that we also won't be in a position to undertake a 'to the studs' remodel for at least 10 years, we have worked to simply get the kitchen to be clean, tidy and usable.
